Clinton and Super Delegates Go Nuclear

Anyone who watched Fox News last night and paid attention, should have noticed that the Clinton supporters talking points were about "party rules". This is code for the Clintons using the nuclear option at the Democratic National Convention this summer. What is the nuclear option you ask? It is widely understood that neither Hillary nor Barack can possibly win enough delegates to outright take the nomination. So that's where the nuclear option comes in.

Without the much needed delegates to take the nomination it will fall to the so called "Super Delegates" to make the final decision on the Democratic nominee. Now let's suppose, that Barack Obama wins the popular vote and has more delegates than Hillary Clinton. One would automatically assume that Obama would get the "super delegates" to vote with the majority. But not so fast, because the Clinton's have the party insiders in their hip pocket. And that's when the nuclear option goes into action.

The Clintons are going the claim that Obama is unelectable as the nominee. And that even though Senator Obama won the popular vote, and the most elected delegates, Hillary should be the nominee. That she's the most qualified candidate, and that the "super delegates" should use there overriding power to vote for her. I'm afraid that's just what they're going to do. And all of this is completely within Democratic Party rules and perfectly legal.

The bad thing is that I believe if things play out as I have just described, I'm afraid there's going to be violence. Admittedly, I am against both Democratic candidates. I don't like the fact that Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama are far too liberal for our country. That Obama and Clinton would pull our nation so far left and that they would not govern where most Americans are politically. But that doesn't mean that I would take any pleasure in seeing the Democratic Party pulled apart. There are many fine centrist Democrats that love this country and want what's for best for all of us. The problem is that the left-wing of the party has grown so powerful that any moderate voices are shouted into silence.

Like I said already, I'm afraid that if the Clinton machine takes the nomination away from Barack Obama, there's going to be violence. I submit to you that the backlash from this occurrence would bring out far left radicals that are just itching for a fight. Just look at the what happens anywhere the WTO meets, the anarchists come climbing out from under their rocks and destroy everything in their path. So, if the Democratic convention doesn't come out just the way certain groups want it to, I think we are going to see civil unrest on a level never seen before in this country. Please don't misunderstand me, I'm not hoping that my predictions are correct. I hope that I'm totally wrong. And I hope that someone gets a hold of the Clinton's before they turn this country upside down by stealing the nomination.
